I received v63 update recently and it affect my pcvr experience massively, on v62 pc it only need 5-10 second to launch quest link app from my headset, after the v63 pc update it took 2-3 min to launch quest link, sometimes i get 3 dot loop, and cant connect to pc sometime, i dont know what happened, i tried

- repair quest link

-reinstall quest link

-launch the app with admin

-update my graphic card driver

still nothing work, please is there a way to go back to the previous update so my pcvr experience can be enjoyable again.

i have a i5-9300h, GTX 1660 Ti, 16gb ram

Pretty strange.

I got v63 few days ago and yesterday, I played some Steam content (especially HL:Alyx) and did not notice anything wrong. Everything was smooth.

I'm on a Ryzen 5, Radeon 6800XT, 32GB RAM.

Hello everyone! We see you are all having connection difficulties with the Meta Quest link after v63. This is not the experience we wish for our users. While we do not support any methods to rollback to versions or downgrade to previous updates, we will be happy to provide you all with some troubleshooting steps.

1. Ensure their Link connection is properly established:
a. Open the Meta Quest PC app on your computer.
b. Turn on your Quest headset.
c. Plug your USB 3 cable into a USB 3 port on your PC, and then plug the other end into your headset.
d. A message displays in VR, prompting you to allow access to data. Select Deny. If you mistakenly 'Allow' the prompt, you must unplug your USB cable from the Quest and plug it back in.
e. When prompted to enable Meta Quest Link, select Enable to begin remote rendering using Meta Quest Link.
Reference: Set up a Meta Quest Link
2. Ensure Air Link is disabled in Settings on the headset.

3. Try to repair the Meta Quest PC application. This is accessed by re-running the Meta Quest setup file. If the setup file detects that Meta Quest Home has been installed, partially or fully, repair will appear in the list as an option. Repair is unlikely to address any app-specific or error messages related to hardware components.
i. Go to https://www.meta.com/questions/setup and click Download Software.
ii. Select Repair.
a. If Windows asks you if you’re sure you want to open this file, click yes.
b. If Windows Defender prompts Windows to protect your PC, click More Info, and then click Run anyway.
c. If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
d. Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you've completed the repair.

iii. Allow the repair process to run, download, and install.

iv. Launch the Meta Quest PC app.
If this does not do the trick for you, please follow this thread, as more information regarding this matter will be posted there. Please let us know how it goes. We can't wait to hear from you soon!

I could use some help, I'm not computer tech savvy and not sure what is causing the issue..

But after selecting "run in VR" on DCS world (non steam version), DCS then force restarts (just as it states it would need to), DCS will try and start, it will display the Boxed start-up logo and ask me to click "OK" for the modules I no longer have access to (which is normal).. then all of a sudden DCS closes down..

I've scoured the internet for a solution for a few days now, which eventually led me to a mention of rolling back the version to V.62

I believe it's currently V.64.

I'm using the meta Quest Pro and can only find troubleshooting relating to quest 2 and 3.

Not sure if I'm in the right place to ask this question, but figure since you guys posted yesterday, it's worth a shot.

maybe I should be asking in the ED forums for DCS World?

I'm new to PC VR and never imagined getting the Quest Pro to work with a game would require me to go to University for a Programming degree..

Thanks,

All I know is, apparently for it to work, you need to go back to V.62. haven't done it myself yet though, because DCS Devs are aware of issue and have a fix for it coming wit next update.. which is apparently due today but who knows..

Monday

Anyone discovered a fix for this yet? Reversion or some files in meta runtime and others back to v62 worked for a while. A few months later thinking Eagle Dynamics/Meta updates may have fixed the issue, I updated to v66. Now DCS won’t launch, same as before with update to v63. Tried the same workaround with reversion of certain files to v62 but didn’t work this time.

If anyone has heard of any solutions from ED or Meta, please help!
