It is with great sadness that the family of Wilfred Baines of Shoal Cove West, residing at The Northern Retirement Home in Port Saunders, announced his passing on Tuesday August 22, 2017 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Theresa (nee Lake); son Dwayne (Jennifer); daughters: Rosie Baines (Seaward Coombs), Bonita Baines (Dalton Toope); granddaughter Bianca Baines (Michael Gould); sisters Kitt (Harvey) Taylor, Joyce (James) Offrey, Augustine White, Olga (Albert) Coombs, Iris (Lambert) Coombs; brothers Melvin, George (Elizabeth), Hayward (Jessie); sisters-in-law: Shirley Baines, Dorcas Baines; stepdaughter Cecily (Michael) Guiney; stepson James (Anita) Wilson; stepson-in-law Jerry Boland; step-grandchildren: Melissa, Amanda, Crystal, Karen, Kayla, Danielle, Corrina, Suzanna; step-great grandchildren: Julia, Jacob, Molly, Leila, Mason. He was predeceased by wife Theresa (nee White); parents George and Alma Baines; sister Virginia; brothers Harold, Curling, Noah, Leander; sisters-in-law: Lucy Baines, Olga Coombs; brothers-in-law: Leslie White, Greg Doyle, Nathanial Tucker; stepdaughter Ameilda Boland. The family accepted friends and relatives at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Reef's Hr. on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4pm and 7-9 pm with a family service on Thursday at 8:00 pm. A funeral service was held on Friday, August 25th at 2:00 pm with interment following at French Cove Anglican Cemetery in Shoal Cove West; officiating clergy The Rev. Jennifer Renouf and The Rev. Clare Stewart assisting. Family and friends may visit the website at www.fillatre.ca to sign the guestbook, leave messages of condolence or a donation to The Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd. in Port au Choix.

GENGE, Albert Jr.

Albert Genge Jr
. passed away on August 16th, 2017 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Martha Jane Genge; son Paul (Delores); daughter Wanda (Brad); grandson Mavrik; brother Noah (Moriah) Genge; sisters Josie (Abraham) Genge, Jessie (Roland) Genge, Eileen (Stephen) Penny, and Virginia Dredge as well as a circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Cyril Genge Sr. and Joyce Genge, and his grandson Paul Guy Johnathan Genge (PG). Visitation took place at the Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the funeral service was held on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Omar Reyes officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Ebukwe, funeral director.

LAWLESS, Geraldine Margaret

It is with great sadness that the family of Geraldine Margaret Lawless of Port au Choix announces her passing after a lengthy stay in the long-term care facility at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn children Pius (Selma) Walsh of Port au Choix, Mary Jane (Danney) Perry of Hawkes Bay, Dulcie (Casey) House of River of Ponds, Marie Lawless of British Columbia, Elizabeth Sheppard (Gaden) of Labrador City, Noreen (Craig) Flynn of Forteau, and Frank Lawless (Patty) of St. John's; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and special friend Gert (Melvin) Eastman. She was predeceased by husband William, son Christopher, parents James and Mary Jane (nee Sexton) Walsh, brothers: Bernard, Leo, Jerry, Peter, Vincent, and sisters Nora Lavallee, and Mary Crane. Visitation took place at Fillatre Funeral Home Port au Choix on Wednesday and Thursday with a family service on Thursday evening. The funeral service was held on Friday, September 1st at 2 p.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix officiated by Father A. Raj, and interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. McLEAN, Aurelia

Born April 17th, 1929, passed away August 30th, 2017 at the Sir Rufus Guinchard Health Center at the age of 88 years. Mourned and remembered with love by her family; daughters Sybil (Desmond) MacArthur, Hazareth (George) Kelly, Louise (Pat) Rumbolt, Irene (Harold) Macey, Shirley (Dylan) Rumbolt, Rosie (Colby) Cullihall; sons Roland (Joyce), Leslie (Penny), Lambert (Helen), Primus (Pearl); sons-in-law John Macey and Michael Gibbons as well as a large circle of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; daughters Sarah and Augustine; parents Eugene and Sarah Parrill; son-in-law Desmond MacArthur; sister Elizabeth Jane Crane; and special nephew Nelson Crane. Visitation was held from St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral took place on Saturday September 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Omar Reyes officiating. Interment followed in the Green Island Cove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.

PLOWMAN, Clyde John

It is with great sadness and loss that the family of the late Clyde John Plowman of Port au Choix, announces his passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders on Friday, August 11th, at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn sons Rick, and Larry (Beverly); daughters Elizabeth (Frank) Walters, and Veronica McConaghy; granddaughters Melanie (Rob) Monahan, and Alyson (Samuel) Shave; sisters Hilda (Joseph) Lavers, Noreen (John) Lowe, and Alma Plowman; brother Everett; brother-in-law Martin Lowe; great-grandchildren Finley Monahan, Maisie Shave and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by wife Bertha (nee Eastman), parents Henry and Lucy (nee Atkins) Plowman, stepfather Michael Eastman, sisters Olive Preyshon, Olga Plowman, Gillian Gould, and Marie Lowe, brothers Edgar, Jimmy Jr, and Henry. The family accepted friends on Sunday and Monday at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port au Choix. A family service was held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7:00 pm. The funeral service took place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15th at St. Theresa's RC Church in Port au Choix with Father Arockia Raj presiding. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd. Port au Choix for cremation and interment (TBA) at the Interfaith Cemetery at Sandy Cove. SINNICKS, Wilfred

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Sinnicks of Hawkes Bay announces his passing on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 68 years. He leaves to mourn sisters Annie Sinnicks (Algie Perry), and Marina (Garland) Applin; brothers Samuel (Ethel), and Jim (Phyllis); nieces Margaret, Semonne, Hazareth, Rhona, Shannon, Renee, and special niece Hailey; nephews Lawrence, Victor, Peter, Ryan and special nephew Ivan; special friend Nelson Plowman, and a large circle of great nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by father Victor Sinnicks, mother Peremella Coombs, stepfather Adam Coombs, sisters Hazel Hughes, Daisy Perry, Roxanne Coombs, and Victoria Sinnicks, brother Guy, nephews Lanny Sinnicks and Owen House. Friends visited at Holy Innocents Anglican Church in Hawkes Bay on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm followed by a family service at 7 p.m. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. As per his wish, cremation followed at Fillatre's Crematorium in Pasadena and interment will be announced at a later date. TALBOT, EUGENE FRANCIS
Passed away on August 20th, 2017 in Englee at the age of 65 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Sheila; Sons Draper, Cory (Leeann); Brothers John, Ralph (Arlene), Junior, Larry, Billy; Sisters Bridget (Wilb) Randell, Betty (Edgar) Fillier, Mary (Harry) Hopkins; Grandchildren April, Kaitlyn, Michael and Spencer as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from the Apostolic Faith Church in Englee from where the funeral was held on Friday, August 25th, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Michael Ivany officiating. Interment followed in the Catholic Cemetery in Englee. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Irene, son Ricky (Maureen); daughters Tina (Clyde), Elizabeth (Ken);granddaughter Chelsea (Borrea), grandson Nico (Abbygail) nephew Colby; great-grandchild Lance; sisters Rachel Coates, Sadie Stevens (William Henry), Jane Williams (Jacob), Gladys Ryland; brothers Clyde (Amy), Calvin (Jessie); sisters-in-law Sybil Taylor (Scott Samson), Naomi Hughes (Hubert), Donna Hughes (Calvin), Edna Taylor (Michael Gibbons), Rachel Applin, Dulcie Applin, Vivian Williams; brothers-in-law John Parrill, William Evans as well as a large family of nieces and nephews he loved dearly and a special great niece Keisha Taylor who helped look after him. He was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Elizabeth Taylor; son Gilbert; daughter Judy Roxanne; sister Ethel; brothers Roland and Edgar; mother and father-in-law William and Eliza Applin; brothers-in-law Levi Ryland, Curtis Coates, Richard Henry Applin, William Applin, Walter Taylor, Edmund Applin, Walter Applin, and Anson Applin; sisters-in-law Mary Elizabeth Parrill and Keziah Evans. Visitation took place from the Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral service was held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jennifer Renouf officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry N. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Ebukwe, funeral director.
